Petermattinglyius (lat.) Is a genus of insects from the tribe Aedini of the family of blood-sucking mosquitoes (Culicidae). Sometimes considered as a subgenus in the genus Aedes . Southeast Asia [1] .

DescriptionVertex heads with wide scales, spaced scales located mainly on the back of the head; eyes extend above antennal pedicelium. The scutellum is covered with wide dark scales; paratergitis with pale scales; anteropronotum and postpronotum with wide scales, sometimes also with narrow scales. Immature stages of development of representatives of Petermattinglyius are usually found in bamboo and sometimes in cavities on trees or trunks. Females bite humans [1] [2] .
SystematicsThe genus Petermattinglyius is considered as a sister taxon to the genera ( Alanstonea + Pseudarmigeres ) + Heizmannia )) + Petermattinglyius , and this treasure of the sister clade is the lorrainea + + ((( Udaya + ( Belkinius + Zeugnomyia )) + ( Eretmapodites + Armigeres ) 2] . The genus Petermattinglyius is included in the tribe Aedini of the subfamily Culicinae [4] . Five species are distinguished [2] [5] :
