Agrol ( dr. Greek Ἀγρόλας ) and Hyperbius ( dr. Greek Ὑπέρβιος - “unusually powerful, invincible”) - the characters of ancient Greek mythology .
Information from sources about them is limited to the report of Pausanias [1] , who, referring to an earlier source (“say”), calls them the builders of the “ Pelasgian ” wall of the Acropolis of Athens . Pausanias was able to find out about them that they were Sikels , and then moved to Akarnania .
E. Kearns concludes that they seem to have been Cyclops , paying attention to the similarity of the name Agrol with the Agriop , son of Cyclops, mentioned in the scholias to XVII. 483) [2] .
