He graduated from vocational school No. 2 at the Komsomolets factory (1950) and in absentia the Tambov Institute of Chemical Engineering (1970).

He worked at the experimental plant of chemical engineering "Komsomolets" (Tambov): a tinker, foreman, senior foreman, senior industrial engineer, chief technologist.

Since 1972, the director of the plant. In 1993-2001, General Director of Tambov Plant Komsomolets OJSC.

Doctor of technical sciences, professor.

He created equipment at the factory that excels the best Soviet and foreign models in its indicators. Member of the development and implementation of vacuum diffusion welding.

The author of 32 scientific papers, more than 200 inventions and rationalization proposals.

Laureate of the Lenin Prize (1984). Honored Inventor of the Russian Federation (1994). He was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Red Banner of Labor (three times), "For Services to the Fatherland" IV degree, 4 medals of the USSR and the Russian Federation, two silver and bronze medals of VDNH (for the manufacture of a proton synchrophasotron resonator for 70 billion electric volts, desalination of sea water, membrane installations) .
