Phyllotexta latens (lat.) Is a species of extinct insects of the family Maguviopseidae ( Prosboloidea ) from the suborder of the cicadus order of the semi - rigid winged . The only species in the genus Phyllotexta . The oldest finds come from the Triassic of Asia (Madigen, Kyrgyzstan ) [1] .

Description
Length from 6.2 to 8.4 mm. The species was first described by fingerprints in 2011 by Russian paleoentomologist Dmitry Shcherbakov ( Paleontological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences , Moscow , Russia ). Among sister taxa: † Falcarta , Nonescyta , Fasolinka , Krendelia , Maguviopsis , Asiocula , Nevicia , Cuanoma , Sacvoyagea , Sitechka [1] [2] .
