“Comic Con Russia” is a festival of popular culture dedicated to science fiction , cinema , comics , anime , cosplay , board and video games . It is carried out in conjunction with Igromir . First held in Moscow on October 2-5, 2014. In St. Petersburg, it was first held on May 17-19, 2019.

Conflict with the St. Petersburg Festival
In the spring of 2015, the “Comic Con Saint Petersburg” festival [9] was held for the first time at the Peterburgsky JCC, which was not related to the organizers of the Moscow “Comic Con”. In 2016, the organizers of St. Petersburg "Comic Con" received a lawsuit from the organizer of the Moscow festival (KRI LLC) which registered [10] the name "Comic Con" in Rospatent as a trademark. [11] [12] As a result of the court proceedings, the St. Petersburg festival was banned from being called “Comic Con” and ordered the organizers to pay 100 thousand rubles of compensation. Since 2017, the St. Petersburg festival has been held under the name "Epic Con". [13]
