Career
Texier began his professional career as a hockey player in the 2016/17 season as a team from his hometown HC Grenoble and, following the results of the championship, received the Jean-Pierre Graff Trophy prize, which is awarded to the best newcomer of the league.
In the 2017/18 season, Texier has signed a contract with the club of the Finnish Hockey League KalPa . In the first season for the new club, Alexander scored 22 points in 53 matches, while he was the youngest player in the team. His successes in Calpe did not go unnoticed, and on May 23, 2018, he signed a three-year novice contract with the NHL club Columbus Blue Jackets , who chose him in the 2017 draft in the 2nd round under the general 45th number [1] .
Texier was called to the French national team at the 2018 World Cup and became the third most youth player in the tournament [2] .
After the end of the regular championship in the Finnish league, Texier traveled overseas to the Cleveland Monsters club, where the AHL regular championship was just about to end. In the AHL, he scored 7 points in 7 matches, while scoring 5 goals. His game in the AHL he impressed the coach and management of the Columbus Blue Jackets and was called to the team from the farm club [3] . The debut of Texier in the NHL took place on April 5, 2019 in a match against the New York Rangers [4] . In the second match in the NHL, Alexander scored the first goal in his career, it happened in the last match of the regular season against the Ottawa Senators [5] . In the same season, Texier made his NHL playoff debut in the first-round match against Tampa Bay Lightning . In the third game of the series against Lightning, he scored his first point in the NHL playoffs, giving an assist. In the fourth game of the series against the “lightning”, Texier scored his first goal in the NHL playoff career, hitting Andrei Vasilevsky's goal, and then scored the second goal into an empty net, making a double [6] .
After departing from the playoffs of the Stanley Cup 2019 in the second round in a six-game series against the club “ Boston Bruins ” Texier received his second career challenge to the French team at the 2019 World Cup [7] . On May 17, 2019 in a match against the national team of Slovakia, he scored his first goal in his career at the world championships for the national team of his country [8] .
