Son Alain II. First mentioned in a charter dated 1156/69.
Around 1160, he married Constance de Pentevre (1138/46 - after June 23, 1184), the daughter of Count Alain the Black de Pentevre and his wife Berthe - the Duchess of Brittany. From her children:
- Alain IV (died 10.27.1205), Viscount de Rogan, Senior de Gemene
- Guillaume, mentioned under 1184
- Margarita, husband - Herve I, seigneur de Leon
- Alix, mentioned under 1184
Widowed, Alain III married Francoise, whose origin is not clear. Two children:
- Zhoslen (died no earlier than 1251), Viscount de Rogan, seigneur de Nuayal, ancestor of seigneur de Montauban.
- Eloise (died after 1213)
Alain III de Rogan and his wife Constance de Pentevre in 1184 founded Bon-Repo Abbey.
