In 2012, she was not able to be among the prize-winners at the home Olympic Games in London , showed the sixth result in the fours.

After the London Olympics, Hoton remained in the UK rowing team for another Olympic cycle and continued to take part in major international regattas. So, in 2013, she won in doubles at the World Cup in Eton and then competed at the World Championships in Chungju , where she took fourth place.

Having won the G8 European Championship in Brandenburg , she was selected for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
