Description
Small insects. The length of the front wing is about 5 mm. It differs from closely related species in the venation of wings. All veins of the fore wing convex. The preradial field is narrow; SC vein straight, ending in C at the end of the basal third of the wing. The base of the RS and the first fork M. The bifurcation of Cu on CuA and CuP is shifted forward; the anterior and posterior branches of the qubitus diverge at the level of the middle of the first anal vein. There are some similarities with the venation of termites Mastotermitidae . The species was first described by fingerprints in 2018 by Russian paleoentomologist Daniil Aristov ( Paleontological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences , Moscow , Russia ). Among sister taxa are Gerapompidae [1] [2] .
