Sibestia nana (lat.) Is a fossil species of winged insects, the only one in the monotypic genus Sibestia of the family Sylvabestiidae ( Cnemidolestodea ). The Permian period (Kaltan, Mitina Formation, Roadian, about 270 million years). Russia , Kemerovo Region (53.6 ° N, 87.3 ° E) [1] .

Content
Description
Small insects. The length of the front wing of about 5.5 mm. It differs from closely related species by the characteristics of the wing venation. The front edge of the front wing is slightly convex. The costal field is already a subcostal field in the middle of the wing; RS merges with MA; distal branches reach the edge of the wing. The base M is fused with CuA. CuA is two-branched, the front branch is straight. The species was first described by prints in 2018 by the Russian paleoentomologist Daniil Aristov ( Paleontological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences , Moscow , Russia ). Among sister taxa: Aiban , Cerasopterum , Elmopterum , Ivkinus , Kazanalicula , Kityakia , Micropermula , Neprotembia , Votyak , Sojanopermula , Sylvabestia , Tshepanichoptera , Vokhmia [1] [2] .
