Biography
Born 02/21/1953 in Lviv ( USSR ). By origin Greek. Leading soloist of Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater , National Opera of Ukraine ( Kiev ). He graduated from the Rivne Conducting Music and Pedagogical Class, Institute named after Gnesins ( Moscow ), class artist of musical theaters, Odessa State Conservatory. A.V. Nezhdanova in the class of academic vocal with Professor E.V. Letyagina. Until 1986, the leading soloist of the Odessa Theater of Musical Comedy. Water. He served in Afghanistan as part of the Song and Dance Ensemble (lead vocalist) of the Odessa Military District (1986-88). Until 2017, the leading soloist of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater and the National Opera of Ukraine (Kiev). Associate Professor of the Odessa Academy of Music. A.V. Nezhdanova. In 2012, for the significant contribution to the development of theatrical art, significant creative achievements, high professional skills and the International Theater Day was awarded the honorary title “ DESERVED ARTIST OF UKRAINE ”.
He died on August 30, 2017 due to a serious illness. The farewell memorial service was held at the Odessa Opera on the day of the city, September 2. All Odessa was escorted by her beloved artist to a flurry of applause, well-known musicians from different countries expressed condolences and Calaf’s aria from Turandot’s opera by Puccini sounded.
