Biography
Born on November 23, 1772 in Stockholm, in the family of Count Pontus Fredrik Delagardi and his wife Baroness Hedwig Eva Delagardi .
Delagardi participated in the Russian-Swedish war of 1788-1790, rising to the rank of captain .
Then, from 1791, he was at the royal court: he had a uppvaktande kavaljer with Prince Fredrik Adolf and in the same year became the chamberlain of Sofia Magdalen .
In 1809 he received the military rank of colonel, and from 1811 to 1838 he was the governor of Kristianstad district.
He died on January 15, 1838 at Maltesholms Castle in the municipality of Kristianstad, Skåne district.

Family
Axel Gabriel Delagardi was married twice:
- On July 9, 1801, he married Christine Gustava Ramel (1783-1819). Their children: Hedvig , Pontus , Magnus Gabriel , Ebba and Axel Jakob .
- On November 27, 1821, he married Maria Gustava Adlerbielke for the second time ( Maria Gustava Adlerbielke , 1794–1877). Their children: Christina , Robert , Carl Gustaf and Gabriella Augusta .
