WordWise is a patented predictive text input system for keyboards on mobile devices [1] , developed by Eatoni Ergonomics.
Users may need to switch to LetterWise mode if they cannot get the right word, so although it is word-based, it still makes it easy to enter rare names, URLs, etc.
It has been suggested that WordWise is less sensitive to keystroke errors than competing T9 text prediction technology [2] .
