Geography
The village is located on the right bank of the Kama , 4 km north of the village of Sokolka , 15 km south of Mamadysh and 22 km west of Nizhnekamsk - in a place where the river merges with Vyatka and makes a sharp turn to the south. The terrain is called Sokolii mountains . Grakhansky Island is located near the village at the mouth of Vyatka.
There is an access road from the Mamadysh ( M7 ) - Sokolka road. The village has a pier on the Kama. 10 km to the north there is a bridge over Vyatka , 4 km to the south there is a ferry / ice crossing over the Kama (in the direction of Nizhnekamsk).
History
The village was founded in the XVIII century under the name Pochinok Semenovskiy . Until the abolition of serfdom, the inhabitants belonged to the state peasant category. Due to the geographical position in the village there has long been a cargo pier. In 1898, the Zemstvo school appeared [1] .
Until 1920, the village was part of the Troitsko-Sekinesis parish of Mamadyshsky district of Kazan province , and later - in Mamadyshsky canton of TatASSR . From August 10, 1930 - as part of the Mamadysh District [1] .
