Jamal Piaras Louis [1] [2] ( Eng. Jamal Piaras Lewis ; born January 25, 1998 , Luton , England ) is a Northern Irish footballer , the left back of the Norwich City Club and the national team of Northern Ireland .

Content
Club career
As a teenager, Jamal was involved in athletics and was part of the England school team for running 800 meters, taking places in the top five [3] [4] . In addition, he began playing football, training at the football academy club " Luton Town ", and then " Norwich City ". In 2016, he signed a professional contract with Norwich City, and on July 31, 2017 he extended it until 2021 [5] . In the main part of the "canaries" Lews made his debut on December 22, 2017 in the Championship match against Brentford , replacing Marco Shtiperman [6] . Four days later, on December 26, Jamal first appeared in the starting lineup of Norwich in the match against Birmingham City [7] . On January 17, 2018, he scored the first goal in his professional career: it happened in the 93rd minute of the replay of the third round of the FA Cup against Chelsea [8] .
In September 2018, Jamal Luce was voted the best young player of the month in the English Football League (EFL Young Player of the Month) [3] . On October 10, 2018, he signed a new contract with the club until June 2023 [9] . In March 2019, he was included in the symbolic “team of the year” of the Championship following the 2018/19 season [10] .
Career in the national team
Louis was born in England, but his mother was born in Belfast , and Jamal decided to play for the Northern Ireland team [4] . In 2016, he spent three matches for the Northern Ireland U-19 team, and in June 2017 he spent one game for the youth national team [11] .
In March 2018, Louis was called up to the main team of Northern Ireland [12] . On March 24, 2018, he made his debut for the national team, playing a full match in a friendly game against South Korea [13] .
