The artist’s works “ capture both high esthetics and the easy irony of ordinary, but seen from an unusual angle, images ”, the newspaper Novy Chas invited to come to the artist’s exhibition in 2017. [18] “ The works of Balenka are distinguished by their philosophical character, and despite the“ black and white ”style, they are filled with the bright light of emotions and deep thoughts of the author, ” Radio Radio reported on impressions of the artist’s exhibition at the Polotsk Art Gallery in 2016. Andrei Adamovich observed in the notes of the apocalypse . [23] The art critic Alesya Romaniuk called the works of Sergei Balenk “the smallest of all seen, since they show a kind of pernicious parallel world, the existence of which one does not want to believe, even if it is the fruit of the author’s fantasies ”.
