Fiona Watt ( born Fiona Watt ; born March 28, 1956) is a British scientist, a researcher of stem cells, especially their role in the skin [6] .

Biography
Cambridge graduate. She received a Ph.D. in cytology from the University of Oxford, and was a postdoc at MIT, where she began to study the epidermis of mammals. She launched her first laboratory at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology , then spent 20 years at the . From 2006 to 2012, Deputy Director of . Since 2012, King's College London [10] . Until 2011, she was chief editor of the Journal of Cell Science . In 2008, President of the . Honorary Foreign Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Marked by the Medal and FEBS / EMBO Women in Science Award (2016 [11] ). Honorary Doctor of the Autonomous University of Madrid (2016) [12] .
