Born 10/02/1914. A radio amateur since childhood, since 1932 he worked in a workshop for the repair of radio receivers.

In 1936 he entered the Moscow Electrotechnical Institute of Communications ( MEIS ) and graduated in 1941, the thesis is a magnetic recording device on a wire carrier.

During the war he participated in the creation of loud-speaking installations for agitation and demoralization of the enemy.

In VNAIZ (All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Sound Recording) from the first days of its creation (1934). In 1963, this institute was renamed the All-Russian Research Institute of Magnetic Recording and Radio Broadcasting and Television Technology, and in 1970 it was renamed the All-Russian Research Institute of Television and Radio Broadcasting ( VNIITR ).

Since 1945, the head. the recording laboratory, under the guidance of Professor I. E. Goron, was engaged in the development of tape recorders MAG-1 and MAG-2. Since 1958, his laboratory switched to the development of magnetic video recording equipment. Chief designer of most modifications of VNIITR video recorders, including Kadr-1, Kadr-3, Kadr-3PM, Kadr-5.

From 1960 to 1981, Deputy Director for Research. In 1981-1987, he was the chief researcher, then retired.

Candidate of Technical Sciences (1955), the topic of the dissertation is “Investigation of the elements of magnetic recording and reproduction of code pulses”.

Author (co-author) of more than 60 scientific works and inventions, editor of the monograph “Magnetic Video Recording Technique”, which has survived two editions (1970, 1978).

Stalin Prize (1954) - for work in the field of computer technology (in the section of magnetic drives). Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR (1975).
