Cammile Adams ( born Cammile Adams ; born , ) is an American swimmer specializing in butterfly swimming. She represented the United States at the 2012 Summer Olympics and for 2016 .

Career
Adams was born in Houston , and graduated from Cypress Woods High School in the city of Cypress ( Texas ).
Adams attended Texas A&M University at College Station [1] , where she participated in the Texas A&M Aggies team at the National Sports Association (NCAA) from 2011 to 2014. Over the four years of swimming in the Aggies team, she won four individual swimming championships for 200 yards butterfly, 500 yards freestyle and 400 yards complex. At the 2012 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, she finished second in the 200-yard butterfly stroke. At the adult level, Adams won the 200 yards butterfly stroke at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
In Omaha, at the US Olympic qualifier, Adams first entered the US Olympic team after winning a 200-meter butterfly stroke [2] . Adams also participated in the 400 m all-round swimming and finished with a third time (4.38.62) [3] . At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she took fifth place in the final of the women's 200-meter butterfly stroke [4] .
At the World Championships in Kazan, she won a silver medal at this distance, losing to Japanese Natsumi Hoshi [5] .
At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on August 10, she took fourth place in the women's 200m butterfly final with the best career time of 2.05.90 [6] . She completed her career during the Olympic Games [1] .
