Description

The length of the river is 98 km, the basin area is 1820 km² [2] . It flows in the forest-tundra zone [3] on the Lower Yenisei Upland , slightly north of the Arctic Circle .

The river flows from Dupkun Bay in the southern part of the Lesser Soviet Lake [4] . The upper reaches flows southeast through several lakes. In the middle part flows to the southwest - the channel in this place is very winding. In the lower part (from the confluence of the Irba) it flows to the south-east again. It flows into Turukhan along the right bank [5] 410 km from its mouth.

At the confluence of the Irba on the right bank, there is the village of Sovetskaya Rechka , in the village there is a hydrological post , conducting observations since 1959 [6] .

Title

The river was formerly called the God, the modern name received in the 1930s. Together with the river, God Lakes, which became Soviet [8], were renamed.
