Biography
Julia Bobake was born on July 3, 1967 in Gorbanesti commune, Botosani County, Romania . She was engaged in rowing in Bucharest at the Dynamo metropolitan rowing club.
The first serious success at the international level was achieved in the 1990 season, when she joined the main team of the Romanian national team and performed at the World Championships in Tasmania - she rose twice to the top level of the pedestal of honor, won the wingless doubles and steering eights.
In 1991, at the world championship in Vienna, she took the sixth place in the steering-wheelless fours and received bronze in the steering eights.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, she was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona . As part of the crew, which also included rowers Veronika Nekula , Adryana Bazon , Maria Paduraru , Doina Rob , Viorik Lepedatou , Doina Shnep-Belan , Joan Oltyanu and helmsman Elena Georgescu , entered the second final of Canada and Canada. silver olympic medal. Being among the leaders of the Romanian national team, it successfully passed the selection for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta - in the doubles program she managed to qualify only for the comforting final B and was located in the final protocol of the competitions on the tenth line.
