Story

Jacob learns the news that Princess Greta is gone and decides to go in search of her herself. He asks all the sellers and finds out that some witch lives near their city. Jacob asks one of his friends that he and his father buy cabbage from his mother in order to distract her while he goes to save the princess.

Jacob sneaks into the house of the evil sorceress and finds the princess, but the sorceress curses both of them, turning Jacob into a dwarf with a long nose and Princess Greta into a goose, but they manage to escape. When they escaped, they split up and Jacob again goes in search of. Finding the goose Greta, he saves her from the royal guards who caught her and run away. Hiding in the house of Jacob, the latter tells of the evil creature Dagale, whom only Jacob can revive, since only he has the kindest heart. They decide to act cunningly. Goose Greta will go to his father, the king, to convince him with an army of soldiers to attack the sorceress’s house, and Jacob alone will go to her, as if he decided to return. He finds a witch and asks her to cast a spell on him and she agrees to remove the curse from him if he puts his hand on the stone table to revive Dagal. At the very last moment, the goose of Greta does not allow him to do this and they run to the house by the river.

Greta explained that she was trying to talk with her father, but he didn’t understand her, because for all she simply made decent sounds to geese and can only speak humanly with Jacob. Suddenly, Greta recalls that her father has a magic book that will help them remove the curse of the evil sorceress from them. They quietly penetrate into the palace in the middle of the night, find a magic book and after reading it, they learn about the magic grass of Taraksakum. Guards come and arrest Jacob for infiltration. At this time, the goose of Greta, having read a book about flowers, learns that Taraxacum is an ordinary dandelion.

The next morning, during the execution, the Greta goose takes his monocle from the Auber-Hofmeister, rips off one of the dandelions and gives them to Jacob. The latter, with the help of a monocle and a sunbeam, burns the head of a dandelion and blows ash from it. The curse from Jacob and Greta is removed and their former guises are returned to them, and the house of the evil sorceress is destroyed.
