Biography
Adriana Kelariu was born on July 5, 1963 in the commune of Copelau, Botosani County, Romania . She was engaged in rowing in Bucharest at the Dynamo metropolitan rowing club.
She made her debut at the adult international level in the 1981 season, when she entered the main team of the Romanian national team and performed at the World Championships in Munich , where she took fourth place in the standings of doubles.
In 1983, at the world championship in Lucerne, she became fourth in a pair of fours with a steering.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, she was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles (as a country of the socialist camp, formally Romania boycotted these competitions for political reasons, but Romanian athletes were still allowed to speak at the Games privately). Here Kelariu started as a part of the oar crew, which also included the rowers Lucha Sauka , Marioar Trashke , Aneta Mihai , Aurora Plesca , Kamelia Dyakonesku , Michaela Armeshescu , Doina Schnep-Belan and the helmsman Vyorika Jozha - in the final eight came from the second team States and thereby won the silver Olympic medal.
After the Los Angeles Olympics, Adriana Kelariu remained in Romania's rowing team for another Olympic cycle and continued to take part in major international regattas. So, in 1985, she went to represent the country at the world championship in Hasevinkel , where she won a bronze medal in eights.
At the 1986 World Championships in Nottingham , she again became a bronze medalist in the same discipline.

Being among the leaders of the Romanian national team, I successfully passed the selection for the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul - this time I won bronze in fours and silver in eights. Since that time, she competed in competitions under the name of her husband, Bazon.
In 1989, she performed at the world championship in Bled , where she won a bronze medal in four-wheelless fours and a gold medal for steering eight, thus becoming a three-time world champion in rowing.
In 1991, at the World Championships in Vienna, she took fifth place in wheelless deuces and won a bronze medal in steering eights.
She represented the country at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , where she showed the fifth result in the program of wheelless fours and won a silver medal in steering eights. Soon after the end of these competitions, she decided to end her sports career [1] [2] .
