“ Wow ” (styled “ Wow. ”) Is a song by the American rapper Post Malone , released on December 24, 2018 as a separate single by the Republic's record labels [2] . "Wow" reached number two in the US Billboard Hot 100 charts , becoming the sixth hit post of Malone in the top ten in the top 10. He also topped the charts of Norway and Finland, and reached the top-10 in countries such as Australia , Great Britain , Canada , Denmark, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Portugal, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Sweden. The single received a platinum certificate in Australia, the UK and the USA.

History

Fasting Malone said earlier in December that he wanted to release another “work” before the end of the year; his previous single was “ Sunflower ” with Swae Lee, the lead single from the soundtrack of “ Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse ” [2] , HipHop-N-More [3] .

The composition, as a whole, was welcomed by music experts and reviewers: NME [4] , Billboard [5] .

Commercial Success

Wow debuted at number 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 . In the third week, the track reached 11th place, and later rose to 4th place on the chart [6] .

On April 6, 2019, Post Malone became the 30th performer in the entire 60-year history of the Hot 100, who managed to have two singles in the top three three at once: “Wow” at No. 2 and “ Sunflower ” at No. 3.
