Club career
At age 11, March began training at the Crystal Palace Football Club in London. Two years later he became a player at Eastbourne Borough Academy, and a year later he became a player at the Lewis Club youth team [1] . On September 10, 2011, March made his debut for Lewis in the match of the Premier Division of the Isthmian League against the Avli club [2] .
In December 2011, Solly March became a Brighton and Hove Albion player, signing a three-year contract with the club [3] . Until 2013, he played for the club’s youth teams. The main part of the “gulls” debuted on August 10, 2013 in the Championship match against Derby County [4] . On January 25, 2014, he scored his first goal for Brighton in the fourth round match of the FA Cup against Port Vale [5] .
In the 2016/17 season, he helped Brighton take second place in the Championship , which guaranteed access to the Premier League [6] .
On March 12, 2017, March made his debut in the Premier League in a match against Manchester City . [7] On September 15, 2017, he scored his first Premier League goal in a match against Bournemouth . [8]
Team Career
In May 2014, Gareth Southgate challenged March to England before the age of 21 . On May 22, 2014, Solly made his debut with the U-21 team in a match against Qatar. March 27, 2017 March scored his first goal for England before the age of 21 in a match against Denmark with a long shot from outside the penalty area [9] .
