Valeria Alexandrovna Salamatina (born ) is a Russian swimmer, champion of the 2017 Summer Universiade and silver medalist of the European Championship in 2018, an international master of sports in Russia .

Biography
Valeria Salamatina was born on September 19, 1998 [1] . In the city of Chelyabinsk.
Career
At competitions in Russia represents the Sverdlovsk region [2] . The personal trainer of the swimmer is Dmitry Petrovich Shalagin [1] .
In 2017, Valeria became the champion of the Summer Universiade in Taipei as part of the relay team of Russia at a distance of 4 × 200 meters freestyle [3] .
In April 2018, Valeria Salamatina won the bronze medal of the Russian Championship at a distance of 200 meters freestyle, and also became the fifth at a distance of 100 meters and the fourth in swimming at 400 meters [4] .
Valeria Salamatina, together with Anna Egorova , Arina Openysheva and Anastasia Guzhenkova, won silver medals at the European Championship in Glasgow, losing to the British in the final at a distance of 4 × 200 meters freestyle [5] . In addition to the women's relay, Salamatina also participated in the mixed relay, where she also won a silver medal [6] . Also on August 6, in the personal discipline of 200 meters freestyle Valeria took sixth place with a score of 1.58.63 [7] .
In November 2018, Valeria Salamatina was awarded the status of master of sports of Russia of international class [2] . On December 14, 2018, Salamatina became the sixth freestyle freighter at the 400 meters world championship in Hangzhou (4.02.87) [8] .
April 11, 2019 Valeria Salamatina won the bronze medal of the Russian Championship at a distance of 200 meters freestyle, showing the time in the final of 1.58.53 [9] .
