Biography
He was born on September 29, 1925 in Kharkov. In 1942-1945, in the army, he was engaged in the repair of tank radio stations (according to another version, he was engaged in the repair of tank radio stations at one of the Moscow defense enterprises). In 1951 he graduated from the Faculty of Radio Communications and Radio Broadcasting of the Moscow Electrotechnical Institute of Communications (radio faculty of the Moscow Electrotechnical Institute of Communications).
From 1951 he was associated with journalism and publishing in the field of radio and television, and until 1959 he worked as head of the radio department at the editorial office of Vestnik Svyazi. He actively promoted the introduction of new broadcasting and TV technology, including synchronous broadcasting and special effects on TV in the 1950s.
Since 1960 - deputy chief editor, since 1962 - chief editor of Svyaz Publishing House.
In 1973−1998, he was the chief editor of Radio magazine.
In 1975−1982 he headed the Public Coordinating Committee for the creation and launch of amateur communications satellites. Under his leadership, on October 26, 1978, 2 such satellites (Radio-1 and Radio-2) were launched, and in January 1981 - 6 more advanced amateur satellite satellites [1] .
Since 2000 - consultant in the editorial office of the journal "Electrosvyaz".
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the medal "For Valiant Labor", the medal "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
He died on February 17, 2003 in Moscow [2] [3] .
Rewards
- In 1981 - awarded the title Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR.
- March 9, 2000 - Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Anatoly Vladimirovich Gorokhovsky was awarded the honorary title Honored Communications Worker of the Russian Federation [4] .
