Biography

The son of a titular adviser . He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1824-1836). He received the Academy medals: a small silver medal (1829), a small silver (1833) for drawing from life, a small silver (1836). He received the title of artist XIV class (1836).
He was recognized as "appointed to academics" (1841). Awarded the title of academician of watercolor painting (1851). [one]
Semechkin was invited to revise the book titled “Scenes from Daily Life. Drawings of P. A. Fedotov . The book was published in St. Petersburg in 1857, after the death of the artist P. A. Fedotov . In the drawings of Fedotov below are the signatures of Semechkin, who painted the situation to the drawings and hardened the outline of sketches. [2]
