ISO Member States

The list of member states of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a list of 164 countries that represent the interests of their country in ISO, and also represent ISO in their country ^[1] .

Full members Corresponding Members Subscribing members

There are three categories of membership. They differ in the level of access to ISO electronic resources and the degree of influence on the content of documents being developed. This helps to take into account the different needs and capabilities of each national standardization body. Thus, countries with limited resources or without a sufficiently developed national standardization system are able to receive relevant information in the field of international standardization. Full members influence the content of ISO standards being developed and the strategy through voting and international meetings. Full members have the right to sell and adopt international standards at the national level.
Corresponding members oversee the development of ISO standards and the strategy by viewing the voting results, as they do not have voting rights, and by participating in international meetings as an observer. Corresponding members have the right to sell and adopt international standards at the national level.
Members - subscribers receive up-to-date information on the work carried out in ISO, but cannot take part in the work. Members - subscribers do not have the right to sell and adopt international standards at the national level.
