Biography

March 28, 1851 Junior enrolled in the Baltic Fleet. May 6, 1853 promoted to the rank of midshipman with an appointment to the Black Sea Fleet. November 18, 1853 on the ship "Empress Maria" participated in the Battle of Sinop and "for the rapid performance of duties and excellent presence of mind" made December 18 in the rank of lieutenant and awarded the Order of St. Anne IV degree with the inscription "For Bravery" . In 1854-1855, he participated in the defense of Sevastopol and for bravery was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir IV degree with swords and bow , St. Stanislav II degree with swords , St. Anna III degree with swords and bow . In 1856, as a senior officer of the screw corvette "Boa", he cruised in the Gulf of Finland, and in 1857-1860 in the Black Sea. In the years 1860-1862 on the steamer "Lena" and transport "Manjur" served in the Siberian Flotilla. In the years 1862-1863 on the corvette "Boa" cruised off the eastern coast of the Black Sea. Jan 1 1863 promoted to the rank of lieutenant commander . In 1864-1865 he commanded the transport "Dniester", and in 1867-1871 the schooner "Elborus" in the Black Sea. Jan 1 1871 promoted to rank 2 captain with transfer to the Baltic Fleet. August 23, 1872 dismissed for service on commercial courts. January 1, 1875 promoted to the rank of captain 1st rank. April 16, 1877 enlisted in active service. April 28, 1882 promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral with the resignation.
