Biography
Radka Stoyanova was born on July 7, 1964 in the city of Varna , Bulgaria . Engaged in rowing in Sofia in the capital rowing club "Akademik".
She made her debut in rowing in the international arena in the 1980 season, when she joined the Bulgarian national team and competed at the Junior World Championship in Belgium - she took fourth place in the steering fours and sixth in the steering eights.
In 1983, she visited the adult world championship in Duisburg , in the standings of the four-wing steering showed the sixth result.
Considered one of the main candidates for participation in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles , but Bulgaria, along with several other countries of the socialist camp, boycotted these competitions for political reasons. Instead, Stoyanova performed at the alternative regatta " Druzhba-84 " in Moscow, where she won the silver medal in the eight, losing in the finals only to the team of the Soviet Union.
