Babichi [2] ( Belorussian. Babichy ) is a village in the Ostrovets district of the Grodno region of Belarus . It is part of the Mikhalish village council . Located 33 km from the city of Ostrovets , 36 km from the railway station Gudogay , 333 km from Grodno . The population of 5 people (2014).

Content
History
In the 19th century, the village was part of the Svirana estate in the Sventsian county of Vilnius province. It was part of the Alexander volost, belonged to the Zhelyadsky rural community. In 1921 - under the jurisdiction of Poland . In November 1939, it was annexed to the BSSR . On October 12, 1940, the village was included in the Zhukoynenskag village council of the Sviranskag district of the Vileika region.
During World War II, from the end of June 1941 to the beginning of July 1944, the Babichi were occupied by German troops.
September 20, 1944 the settlement was included in the Molodechensk region. In 1950, a collective farm named after Pushkin was formed, which affected Babichi. Since August 31, 1959, the village has been included in the Ostrovets district. In 1990, the Babichi entered the Kirov collective farm with a center in the village of Mikhalishki .
