Karl-Anton Schulte ( German: Karl-Anton Schulte ; December 27, 1873, Nysa - January 1948) - a German lawyer, party functionary and politician who was a member of the Catholic Center Party ; studied law in Freiburg im Breisgau , Munich and Wroclaw ; in 1905 he became a prosecutor in the city of Leszno (Lissa); in 1919-1921 he was a delegate to the Prussian Constituent Assembly, then becoming a deputy of the local Landtag ; in March 1921, Schulte became a member of the Reichstag ; re-elected in the 1924 election from Breslau County and held office until 1928. Biography
Karl-Anton Schulte was born on December 27, 1873 in the city of Nysa ; He studied law at the universities of Freiburg im Breisgau , Munich and Wroclaw , where during his studies he was a member of a number of student unions - including the fraternities “K.St.V Brisgovia”, “K.St.V. Saxonia München ”and“ K.St.V. Unitas Breslau. " After graduating, in 1898, he began working in the Prussian judicial system.
In 1905, Schulte became a prosecutor in the city of Leszno , in those years called Lissa. In 1910 he moved to the Prussian district of Bromberg , where he was appointed prosecutor seven years later - during the First World War , in 1917. Already in the Weimar Republic , from 1919, he served as director of the district court in Breslau ( Wroclaw ) before he was appointed chief prosecutor (in 1921). Since 1926, he was the chairman of the Senate in the Breslau court, and two years later, in 1928, the chairman of the district court in Hanau.
Schulte was a member of the Catholic Center Party : he was the second chairman of the provincial party association in Lower Silesia . In addition, since 1920 he was a member of the national party committee, and since 1924 - a member of the executive committee of the Center’s party.
Between 1919 and 1921, Karl Anton Schulte was a delegate to the Prussian Constituent State Assembly - the body responsible for preparing and holding the referendum on the adoption of the new constitution of the Free State of Prussia from the time of the November Revolution in Germany until the first convocation of the Prussian Landtag . After the elections to the local parliament, he held the post of regional deputy until January 31, 1923 [1] : in March 1921 he became a deputy of the Reichstag , replacing his party colleague Alois Pushman (1882-1937 / 1939), who transferred to the executive branch . In the 1924 election, Schulte was re-elected to the Reichstag from Breslau County: all his time in parliament, he was a member of the parliamentary group of the central faction. He died after the Second World War : in January 1948, at the age of 74; the exact date of death and the place of burial, as of the beginning of the XXI century, remained unclear.
Works
Over the years of his life, Karl-Anton Schulte has written many essays - mostly political works. He described the structure and operation of the German Reichstag, wrote reports on party conferences and discussed legal issues related to the abolition of the monarchy in Germany .
