Vasily Borisovich Ostrovsky (May 7, 1946, Poltava) - Soviet ballet dancer. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1982) [1] .
Biography
He studied at the LHU (under N. A. Zubovsky) [2] . In 1966-1967 he danced at the Leningrad Opera and Ballet Theater. Kirov.
In 1967-1990 - soloist of the Leningrad Maly Opera and Ballet Theater . He was a leading dancer of the theater, while performing both romantic and comedic-characteristic parts.
Together with his wife, T. I. Fesenko staged the classic ballet of I. Armsheimer and M. Petipa “Halt of the cavalry” on the stages of the Kharkov Opera and Ballet Theater (1990) and the Ballet Theater of the Kremlin Palace of Congresses (1991).
In 1994, the couple moved to Rosario (Argentina), the creators and leaders of the ballet school at the El Sirculo Theater [3] .

Father - Boris Ostrovsky, Colonel Engineer. He graduated from the Institute of Civil Engineers.
Mother - Ostrovskaya (Preobrazhenskaya) Valentina Ivanovna.
Brothers - Ostrovsky Dmitry Borisovich (older brother), Ostrovsky Andrey Borisovich (middle brother).
Wife - Fesenko Tatyana Ivanovna , ballet dancer.
Son - Ostrovsky Denis Vasilievich.
