Etymology
Translated from Kazakh Kusem means Leader [2] .
History
The village was supposedly founded in 1902, when two brothers of Kazakh bays settled in this area. Until 1930, the village was called Tanatar by the name of one of the brothers. Due to frequent flooding of the village during the flood period, in 1956 it was transferred from the left to the right bank of the Suunduk River. In 1957, the Kusep collective farm became part of the Soviet Russia state farm (now the collective farm), and since 1965 it has been a branch of the Maisky state farm [2] .
