Friedrich Paul Karl Barnewitz ( German: Friedrich Paul Karl Barnewitz ; March 28, 1889, Tarnogur County , Silesia - February 7, 1948, Berlin ) - German archivist and local historian ; From 1906 to 1910 he studied law in Berlin and Lausanne , and in 1911 he defended his thesis in Leipzig ; Until 1945, he worked as a clerk and archivist at the Reichsstelle Chemie Imperial Inspection Center for Chemistry in Berlin.

Biography
Friedrich Barniewitz was born on March 28, 1889 in Noydek ( Tarnogur County , Silesia ) in the family of a large businessman; From 1895 to 1898 he underwent private education, after which - until 1902 - he attended the Bismarck Grammar School in Wilmersdorf . From 1903 to 1906 he studied at an elite private school (Pädagogium) in the Lankwitz district of Berlin and at the Royal Gymnasium in Weilburg .
From 1906 to 1910, Barnevits studied law at the universities of Berlin and Lausanne; in 1911 he defended his thesis and received a Ph.D. at the University of Leipzig . After that, he traveled to Scandinavia , Belgium and Holland , where he conducted historical, geographical and folklore studies. He defended his second Ph.D. thesis in 1916 at Giessen University and until 1945 worked as a clerk and archivist at the Reichsstelle Chemie Imperial Inspection Point in Chemistry in Berlin.
Since 1919, Barnevice was a member of the Association of Mecklenburg History; He was the founder of the local history museum in Warnemünde (Heimatmuseum Warnemünde), donating part of his collection to the museum, and a member of the board of the local museum association. He died in Berlin on February 7, 1948, at the age of 58, and was buried in the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Friedhof memorial cemetery in the Westend region; the grave has not been preserved.
