Taurus Babesh-Negri - the name adopted in the Russian-language medical literature for neoplasms in the cytoplasm of brain hippocampal neurons caused by the multiplication of rabies virus . [1] Identified for diagnostic purposes by special staining methods . They are oval or rod-shaped in size from 0.5 to 10 microns . Named in honor of the scientists Victor Babesh and Adelka Negri who described them (independently from each other).
