The village is located in the eastern part of the region, on the Tykhaya Sosna River , 13 km northeast of the regional center, the city of Alekseyevka . The nearest railway station is SEE - 94 km.

History
The emergence and name of the village is associated with the creation of fortified sections of the Belgorod line on the river. Quiet Pine.
