Biography

She made her debut in Denmark, where she was known under the pseudonym Rosalind Thomsen. In 1860 she began a love affair with the Norwegian writer Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson . In 1873–1874 she performed at the Royal Dramatic Theater in Stockholm . During these years, became the mistress of the Swedish king: Queen Sophia Nassau was at that time in Germany under the pretext of restoring shaky health. After 1874, von Dolke appeared on the stage of the Maly Theater in Stockholm and from 1876 - at the Jurgorden Theater and at the National Theater in Gothenburg.

As an actress, Magda von Dolke was awarded various reviews. So, August Strindberg admired her natural behavior on stage, while Fritz von Durdel called her beautiful, but talentless adventurers, who were given a place in the royal theater because of her connection to the monarch. Since 1874, von Dolke toured Sweden with his own theater troupe, where, among other things, Albert Runft made his debut.

She left the stage after the wedding with the owner of the factory Bosse in Copenhagen .

She died on October 22, 1926.
