History

Residents of three villages, including those from Selivanovo, at a village gathering decided to teach their children to read and write, for which it was necessary to build and open a school. The Selivanov school was built on public money (20 cents per soul) and was built in good faith - the building lasted 130 years before a new modern school appeared, which opened only in 1986. The school was built by the local landowner Alexander Ivanovich Volynsky. From this fact it follows that the village is at least 140-150 years old [6] .

Infrastructure

A dairy processing company in the village of Selivanovsky Dairy OJSC operates in the village, and Selivanovsky MPC LLC processes poultry meat from farmers. There is a small wood processing enterprise.

The villagers maintain a personal subsidiary farm, raise cattle , sheep, goats, poultry, and beekeeping [7] .

The Selivanovsky Raipo provides products not only to residents of the village of Selivanovo, but also to other residents of the district, a small retail trade network is developed, consumer services are functioning - leisure centers, there is a hairdresser, several shops, a pharmacy, and a kindergarten [8] .

The village is based GPOU TO "Krapivensky forestry-technical school." Students take care of plants in one of the most famous dendrological botanical gardens, which is located on the estate of the leshoz technical school and is assigned to nature monuments of regional significance [9] [10] . School children receive knowledge in Selivanovskaya secondary school No. 28 [11] .

Attractions

  • In the village there is an inactive Assumption Church, from which a two-tier bell tower has survived [12] . Year of construction - no later than 1713 [13] . The reconstruction of the church building (old school) and the bell has begun.
