Content

Story

Born and raised in Natbush, Tennessee, Anna May Bullock (real name Tina) grew up in a dysfunctional and incomplete family (parents left their children). After the death of her grandmother, she moved to St. Louis , reunited with her mother and sister Allin. Anna May will have a chance to become a professional singer in the group of charismatic Ike Turner. Over time, an unexpected affair begins between them, after which she moves to Ike's house. Soon after that, they get married, and the musical tandem of Ike and Tina Turners wins great popularity.

Marriage quickly becomes unbearable for Tina, Ike begins to physically dominate her, leaving her no chance for a free life. Tina becomes a star, and Ike is increasingly jealous of the attention paid to her. He is increasingly turning to drugs, and his aggression is increasing. When Tina seeks solace in her chaotic life, a friend draws her attention to Buddhism . Faith helps her to find peace of mind and strength. In the end, she gains courage and throws Ike.

After saving her stage name after the divorce, Tina continues to work to pay bills. Despite Ike’s attempts to get her back, Tina continues her life journey and gets a chance to regain a star career.
