History
In the 1871 List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire (according to 1868–1869), the settlement is mentioned as the treasury village of Menshikov in the Ishim district of the Tobolsk province , at Lake Menshchikov, located 141 versts from the district center of the city of Ishim . There were 30 yards in the village and 157 people (80 men and 77 women) [2] .
In 1926, there were 71 households in the village and 316 people lived (145 men and 171 women). Administratively, it was part of the Armizon village council of the Armizon district of Ishim district of the Ural region [3] .
Geography
The village is located in the southern part of the Tyumen region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the Ishim plain , on the eastern shore of Lake Menshchikov, at a distance of about 5 kilometers (in a straight line) to the south-south-west (SSW) from the village of Armizonskoye , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 135 meters above sea level [4] .
