Noukand ( Persian. نوکند ) is a village in northern Iran , in Alborz Island . It is part of the shahrestan Nazarabad . It is part of the dehekstan (rural district) Tankeman bakhsha Tankeman.

Geography
The village is located in the western part of Alborz, to the south of the Elborz Mountains, at a distance of approximately 21 kilometers west-northwest (WNW) from Keredzha , the provincial capital. The absolute height is 1215 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the 2006 census, the population of the village was 1,023 people (518 men and 505 women). In Noukande, there were 221 households. The literacy rate of the population was 70.58%. The literacy rate among men was 74.13%, among women - 66.93% [2] .
