Biography

Born on October 1, 1922 in Minsk.

She studied at the Moscow Law Institute , after the third year she left the institute. In 1945 she graduated from the theater studio under the direction of Yu.A. Zavadsky at the Mossovet Theater , in 1950 - the director's department of GITIS (course of N.V. Petrov ).

In 1950-1953 she worked in the Omsk Academic Drama Theater , in 1955-1958 in the Saratov Drama Theater named after Karl Marx . In 1959-1982, he was the chief director of the Gorky State Theater for Young Spectators . Since 1964, she taught at the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School named after E. A. Evstigneev , since 1982, she was the head of the Department of Drama Theater Actor.

Among the pupils of R. Ya. Levite are Alexander Pankratov-Cherny , Andrei Ilyin , Natalya Bochkareva , Irina Mazurkevich , Ekaterina Vilkova , Elena Surodeykina , Anastasia Zavolokina .

Winner of the awards K. S. Stanislavsky (1995), named after N.I. Sobolshchikov-Samarin (2000), named after M.I. Tsaryov (2006).

Died March 19, 2019 in Nizhny Novgorod at the 97th year of life. She was buried at the Bugrovsky cemetery in Nizhny Novgorod next to her husband.
