Valentin Borisovich Simakovich ( Ukrainian: Volodimir Borisovich Simakovich ; June 7, 1962 , Kharkov ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

Biography

Pupil of Kharkov football, the first coach - Victor Aristov . He began performing at a professional level in 1982, in the Kharkiv Mayak , who played in the second league of the USSR championship. He spent 5 seasons in the team, after which he was drafted into the army. During the service he played for Kiev SKA . After demobilization, he became a player of the Kharkiv Metalist , who played in the major leagues, but played most of the time in the backup team. The only game in the top division of the USSR championship was held on October 27, 1989, leaving the starting lineup in an away match against the Dushanbe Pamir . The debut match defended “to zero” [1] . He also spent one match with Metalist in the USSR Football Federation Cup , however, not having the opportunity to gain a foothold in the main team, the 1990 season was playing out in Mayak, Kharkiv. The next year he moved to the Akhtyr oil industry, which included the winner of the Ukrainian zone of the second lower league.

In 1992, he became a Yavor player from Krasnopol, where he almost immediately became the main goalkeeper. He played for Yavor for six seasons; in 1995, as a member of the team, he became the winner of the second league of the Ukrainian championship. His game attracted the attention of the major league team - the Kirovograd " Star ", which he moved to in 1998. He spent only one game for the club’s main team, spending most of his time in the double and Zvezda-2 , in the second league. At the end of the season, he left the team and stopped performing at a professional level. After the end of his career, he played for amateur teams.

He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Institute of Physical Education . In 2004, he was appointed goalkeeper coach at Metalist, where he worked first with the second, and later with the main and youth teams. He worked in the Kharkov club until it was disbanded in 2016. After that, he became a goalkeeper coach at the Zhilstroy-1 women's football club

Family

Married. The father of two children. His brother, Vladimir, also played for the Kharkiv Mayak in the USSR Championship for some time.
