The Cannabis Museum ( German: Hanf Museum ) is a museum in Berlin dedicated to the hemp plant and everything connected with it. The only museum in Germany [1] and one of the few in the world of its kind .

History
The initiative to create a hemp museum in Berlin belongs to the German society for promoting hemp as a useful plant ( German: HANF eV ), and its prototype was the in Amsterdam [2] - perhaps the most famous and most visited of museums of this kind kind in the world [3] . After the trial exhibition dedicated to hemp received a positive response in Berlin, it was decided to arrange a permanent exhibition, which opened in the historical center of the city - Nikolaiviertel - on December 6, 1994 [2] . Seven years later, the number of visitors to the museum crossed the mark of 100 thousand [2] .
Exposition
The museum exposition is located in eight rooms of the museum with a total area of more than 250 m 2 [4] [5] and is dedicated, in particular [6] :
- hemp plant biological aspects
- processing and use of hemp fibers and hemp oil ,
- medical use of hemp,
- the role of hemp in art and religion,
- cannabis narcotic action
- legal situation in the cultivation and use of hemp.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum hosts special exhibitions, including as part of the Museum Night or online [7] . The museum has a shop and a cafe where you can buy various goods, one way or another related to hemp.
