128 athletes (64 men and 64 women) will be able to take part in archery competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics , who will compete with each other for 5 sets of awards. Each NOC can be represented by no more than six athletes (3 arrows of each gender).
Qualification Rules
In the team championship for men and women, eight quotas will be drawn in the framework of the 2019 World Cup . Each NOC received a quota also has the right to put up three athletes in the individual championship. In total, 12 teams for men and women will take part in the team championship. Thus, through the team championship 36 quotas will be distributed in the individual championship. The hosts of the Games, the Japanese national team, are guaranteed participation in the team championship. In the event that the Japanese team becomes one of the eight best teams in the World Cup, the vacated quota will be played at the final qualifying tournament in the summer of 2020. The remaining NOCs, not included in the number of participants in the team championship, will be able to be represented by a maximum of one athlete in the individual championship of each gender. If an athlete receives a quota for the NOC in the individual championship, and then the NOC receives a quota in the team championship, an individual quota will be played in the final qualification tournament.
At the World Championships, 4 quotas will also be distributed according to the results of the individual championship, the best NOCs whose athletes did not qualify due to the team tournament will receive quotas. In addition, for Europe, Asia and America, one quota will be drawn in the framework of multisports continental tournaments. Qualification competitions will be held on all continents. The final qualifying tournament will be held in the summer of 2020, initially 1 quota will be drawn in it, but there may be more if the quotas allocated for other competitions are not used for any reason. Another 4 quotas (2 in the individual championship for men and women) will be distributed by a tripartite commission.
At the 2020 Games, a set of medals will be played for the first time among mixed pairs. Qualifications for this discipline will go through the rating rounds at the start of the Olympic Games. Each NOC, which qualified at least one man and one woman, will receive the right to participate in the selection, the 16 best couples with the best standards for the start of the games will play a set of awards. In mixed team competitions held in continental games, the winning team will receive one quota per floor, which will allow it to take part in the qualification.
To participate in the games, all archers, starting from the 2019 World Cup and ending with the final qualifying tournament, must fulfill the following minimum standard:

The winner of the competition was a couple from Italy. Due to the fact that Italy has already earned a quota for men at the end of the 2019 World Cup , a quota at the end of the European Games was given only in women's competitions.
