Development
On February 13, 2019, Bloody Disgusting announced that two television series on Alien are under development, one animated in 3D and the other with live actors [2] . On February 20, 2019, Axis Animation announced that an animation adaptation of seven episodes of the 2014 video game Alien: Isolation was under development [3] . On February 27, 2019, it was announced that IGN had produced a serial production of an animated series consisting of seven quarter-hour episodes, each of which would consist of a combination of cut-out scenes from the game. The producers of the series were Jeff Juhass, Antoine Cardon and Julien Mokrani. Hurwitz and Schlossberg were directors of several episodes of the series. Executive producers Kinga Smith and Fabian Dubois of Reverse Engineering Studios (RES) and DVgroup together with TitraFilm [4] also joined the production of the series.
Cast
Along with the initial announcement of the series, it was reported that the actors of the original game Alien: Isolation will voice their characters for the series, including Andrea Dec and Sigourney Weaver as and Ellen Ripley [4] .

Marketing
An official trailer was released on February 27, 2019, in which it was announced that the premiere of the show would take place on February 28, 2018 [4] , which caused confusion in time, since 2018 has already passed. Although it is possible when writing the release date, by mistake instead of nine they wrote an eight.
