“ Froken Julia ” ( English Miss Julie ) is an independent drama film of 2014 directed by Liv Ullman , based on the play of the same name by August Strindberg , starring Jessica Chastain , Colin Farrell and Samantha Morton . The world premiere of the film took place in Ireland, and after it was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014 [3] .

Story
Midsummer of 1890, Irish county of Ferman. The main character of the painting, Froken Julia, a noble lady, the daughter of an Anglo-Irish aristocrat, falls in love with her father's valet, and he seduces her. Their relationship from a romantic outgrowth into an imperious game in which it is never clear who gets the upper hand.

The film company " Maipo Film "Produced the film, along with Apocalypse Films Company . Filming began in April 2013, in Coole Castle of the XVIII century , in the county of Ferman , Northern Ireland [4] .

The situation in the kitchen is overwhelming, and the shots of Miss Julia, wandering around the estate, are incredible in themselves, her posture is broken and stiff, her dress falling from her shoulder gives us the desired and yet exciting scene change. The film has undeniable power, if someone is interested in raw and intense action and feels this wonderful feeling, for me this film is incredible [6] .
