Gao Lin ( Kit. 高 崚 ; born. , ) - Chinese badminton player , two-time Olympic champion. As of March 2019, she is the only athlete with four Olympic badminton medals.

Biography
Badminton began to study in 1987, after it was enrolled by parents in a regular badminton school. After five years of training, she was accepted into the Hubei Sports Club, which she played for throughout her sports career.
Five years later, in 1997, she was called up to the national team for the first time.
Starting her career with a victory at the World Youth Championship, she subsequently won all the most prestigious tournaments in this sport.
At the Olympics, she won two gold medals in the doubles in 2000 and 2004 , both times her partner was Zhang Jun . In the women's doubles, she won the bronze award in 2000 (with Qin Yiyuan ) and silver in 2004 (with Huang Sui ). At the 2008 Beijing Olympics , Gao Lin and her new partner in the mixed doubles Zheng were defeated in the first round by the British Gail Emms - Nathan Robertson.
Gao Lin is also the owner of four world titles, winning the women's doubles in 2001, 2003 and 2006 (all with Huang Sui), and won in the mixed doubles in 2001 with Zhang Jun. In addition, she won four silver and one bronze medals.
Gao also won numerous international tournaments, including five times in a row at the Uber Cup (2000, 2002 , 2004, 2006, 2008 ) and three times at the Sudirmanan Cup (2001, 2005, 2007).
She is the 18-fold winner of the 2000–2004 Grand Prix series in the women's and mixed doubles categories. In 2009, shortly before the marriage, she played her last tournament.
Gao Lin is considered one of the best badminton players in the first decade of the 21st century .
After completing her career in 2004, she graduated from the Chinese University of Geosciences, after which she continued her studies at the magistracy at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in the field of public administration.
In October 2010, she gave birth to a daughter [4] .
